Saw this fine young lady driving with her gas cap hanging out... Probably is oblivious to the obvious check engine light OR its been on for the last 3 months so what's one extra error code?

Ugh. A while ago I was in some traffic and as soon as the light goes green this woman gets out her car to close her gas cap. FUUUUCCCKKK YYYOOOOUUUUUUU

Your engine check light comes on if your gas cap isn't tightened?
Did not know that before.

In most cars, it causes an EVAP System leak. Although your car should run fine without it, it still bothers the computers. It can also happen when it's really cold too, it can cause a small vapor leak the system notices.
